Construction & Interior Design

Project Description

This project is build on a challenging slopped 2300sqm land facing a beautiful serene river and tropical forest. The main structure features a four bedrooms villa with two impressive 8m high waterfalls on each side of the entrance. The modern balinese / contemporary design style gives this property a luxury feeling with a direct connection to the outside tropical world. The amazing infinity pool as well as the suspended deck overlooking the jungle and the river shows the many challenges that had to be faced during the design and realization part of this project.

Innovative Solution

Flexibility is key in a project like Villa Putih. The environment was dictating the general layout but we could us sustainable methods to optimize the relief of the land. As such rainwater harvesting, water recycling and eco friendly pool systems are all options that could easily been exploited.

Design Approach

We wanted to create a home that is immersed in the jungle and takes full advantage of the amazing tropical views.

Challenge

Having a slopped terrain does not allow heavy machinery to be used during the construction phase – as a consequence all the soil removal and volume digging had to be performed by hand.
